The Moab Area Land Use Plan is slated to be complete by June 2019. The Plan will establish a vision, priorities, and implementation strategies.

The first Draft of proposed ordinance changes has been completed and delivered to Moab and Grand County for their consideration, review and direction. A copy of this document can be found in the Public Meetings + Info section of this website.
Landmark Design is currently composing draft ordinances, based on input provided during the Joint City-Council Meeting held on May 7, 2019. Over the next couple of weeks, these ordinances will be further refined and then handed over to the City and County on June 4, 2019. It is anticipated that further fine tuning of these ordinances will happen as part of the City and County's individual planning processes. We encourage you to attend City and County Planning Commission and City/County Council meetings to keep informed and up-to-date on that refinement process.

The Public Workshop will focus on reviewing: 1) ordinance and zoning options, 2) local and national case studies, and 3) economic and market analyses for the local area. We will also have preliminary land use concepts (focused on overnight accommodations) for your to provide input/feedback on.
Two Public Open Houses were held at the Moab City Hall (217 East Center Street, Moab, UT) on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 5:00-7:00 pm and on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 11:30 am - 1:30 pm .
